Jennifer has been in the media industry for nine years working as a film editor, assistant film editor, and documentary production coordinator. Through her company, AT SHUTTER SPEED, she’s edited content for CraveTV, CBC, TVO, children’s digital entertainment, and scripted content for festival release. This includes developing data management strategies for productions, proxy conform workflow from Davinci, working in both Premiere Pro and AVID Media Composer, and using After Effects/AI/Photoshop for graphical work.
Credits include editor of CHIPPER (top 15 of 100 at 48hr Film Festival), editor of webisodes for the TVO feature-length documentary THE LONG WEEKEND (2022), assistant editor and additional editing for the CraveTV (Bell) docu-series WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE (EVEN JAY BARUCHEL), assistant editor of award winning feature film THE BOY IN THE WOODS (2023), editor of web series SOFA QUEENS and of short film LEGENDS OF THE FALL (premiered at Sudden Impulse Film Festival); and assistant editor on feature length films APOCALYPSE: PLAN B (2023 The Nature of Things), BUG SEX: IT’S COMPLICATED (2023 The Nature of Things), A KANDAHAR AWAY (premiere at Hot Docs), IN THE NAME OF YOUR DAUGHTER (Raindance Film Festival), and SLED DOGS (premiered at Whistler Film Festival and winner of Best Feature Length Film 2015).
Jennifer is also an avid traveler, dedicated cineaste and a proud rescue dog mom. When she is not working, she enjoys playing in the Toronto Ultimate Frisbee Club with her co-ed team, unique food experiences from around the world, and curling up with a good book. She also engages with the film community through LIFT, DOC org., and CCE professional programming.
